I ordered delivery it came quickly and was hot. The teriyaki was good, sauce was a little thin, but the flavor was good. The katsu is crispy and not oily. The gyoza was delicious and done in the deep fried style, the sauce is perfect. My wife and I recently moved to the area and were in the mood for some hot teriyaki food, so she decided to order from here via UberEats. To be honest, I wouldn’t even rate it one star—it felt like a complete waste of money. The chicken teriyaki tasted strange, and the fried rice we received definitely didn’t resemble traditional fried rice. We ended up spending over $50, all based on the reviews my wife saw, thinking it would be a good choice. We won't be ordering from here again!
The teriyaki chicken was merely average. The General Tso's chicken seemed like a mistake; it was simply fried chicken pieces without any sauce or flavor. I won't be coming back. They used to be fantastic years ago, but it's clear that something has changed.
I placed my order at 9 PM on February 28, but due to problems with DoorDash, it didn't arrive until 11 PM, which was a significant delay. The restaurant is just 1.1 miles from my home. By the time the food finally arrived, it was cold and overcooked. I spent $60 on this meal, but it was so disappointing that I had to throw it all away. I don't often write reviews, but this experience was so bad that I felt compelled to share it. The food was inedible, and I will not be dining here again, nor will I use DoorDash in the future.
However, yesterday when I tried to place my usual order, she rudely informed me that they no longer allow that (changing my order from six to nine shrimp). I was taken aback and reminded her that they had done it for me for years, but she insisted that this was not their policy. Ultimately, I just ordered the six, but I wish them no ill will; they just need to be more consistent and friendly. A while back, there was an incident where someone came in and stole their tip jar, which I felt bad about. However, it’s also worth noting that they don’t have a bathroom, which is illegal for a restaurant. After my meal with the six shrimp yesterday, I experienced all the symptoms of food poisoning! After three decades of dining there, I won’t be returning, despite how delicious their shrimp is. I recommend staying away!
My husband loves this place so much that we have a regular lunch date nearly every Friday. We go there so often that the owner recognizes him and knows his order as soon as he walks in! She's the only woman whose cooking he appreciates more than mine. Haha!
