Amazing place. We were looking for a place to bring our 4 month puppy. The waitress automatically brought out water for him and was very friendly, courteous and welcoming to us. The food was fast and wonderful. I will definitely come back here if ever I'm in Iowa again. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Grumpy Goat Tavern Des Moines:
We were unable to dine at this restaurant because when we entered, we discovered they were adding a 4% surcharge for using a credit or debit card. We were disappointed by this unexpected additional cost and decided not to eat there. Charging extra for hamburgers and sandwiches, which are already priced at $17, seems unreasonable to us. We will not be returning to this establishment. View all feedback.
My fiancée and I came here for a drink. not only the personal was rude, which allowed the patrons to be rude to us. about us for our drinks that were advertised less. if they don’t play on the “right” team, I would recommend you not apply this place. I wouldn't judge as staring if that was an option.

Loved the seared Ahi Tuna Salad. Service was good. A beautiful day for the outdoor dining.
