I was told that this place is known for the best ****** Marys, so on our trip to Nola we had to stop. It was empty, but the one person sat at the bar and the bartender were both very friendly and fun to chat with. Best experience ever! Mary was amazing. I had to stop by while coming back from New Orleans to Morgan City. I picked up some food but had to wait a bit to responsibly enjoy my drink at home.
Always a great visit anytime we stop at Frank’s Lounge. Gene has to have his **** Mary!!
Famous for their **** Mary's and rightfully so. It's an absolute must-stop on the way to New Orleans. My boyfriend loves their White Russians, too!
I feel compelled to write about Frank's lounge because I love a good story, and because I love a good **** Mary. If you spent some time in Louisiana, you might have seen her famous ride thru daquiri bar's. When I first saw, I asked how it was legal. Apparently, in Louisiana it is not considered an open container when it is in a polystyrene cup with lid and straw. What?
I heard that this place is famous for having the best Bloody Marys, so we had to check it out during our trip to New Orleans. Even though the restaurant was empty, the one person sitting at the bar and the bartender were both very friendly and enjoyable to talk to. My Bloody Mary was delicious, and I can understand why it’s received such a prestigious title. It’s a simple, classic drink without being overloaded with a million toppings.
