Contribute Feedback What jim790 doesn't like about Romeo's:
Went here for handiness. Have not been here for over a year due to problems with orders and having to keep going back to get it sorted. First of all, nothing has changed, had to go back again for incorrect order. I will never be back at this establishment, especiall when the lady told me what I ordered was correct and clearly it was not. The food is over priced and tasteless. I will go back to Piazza in Waterside as... View all feedback.
I’ve genuinely thought long hard about this review as I’m an huge advocate for shopping local Romeo’s was my go to. However I’ve let too much slide of late from Romeo’s I’ve now decided to take my business elsewhere. On quite a few occasions the order has been wrong, items left out etc but I was willing to forgive (silly me). However the end was almost inevitable after a large order that was ridiculously late. The delivery driver did apologise I felt there was no point in shouting at them (not their fault) and I wasn’t in a position to follow up as I’d placed the order on behalf of others (it was my treat for visiting family). Hugely embarrassed as I’d bigged up Romeo’s as being best pizza in town. Final nail was when I ordered a kebab in the comments asked for the chips (hoagies) that had been left out of a number of previous orders. (30/4/24) A condescending female member of staff then rang me to explain that this wouldn’t be possible as she couldn’t order the chips off book! When I tried to explain she was having none of it wanted to know why I hadn’t complained previously? I replied that I wasn’t going to necessarily make a fuss over approx 12 chips. Apparently I should have and she informed me that had I done so my order would’ve been prioritised (aye, right) as she wasn’t able to rectify past mistakes. In a nutshell Romeo’s have lost a very (very)good, previously understanding, customer over a dozen chips, 12 bits of fried potatoes… pretty poor customer care.
Just to say before leaving this review I private messaged them to allow them time to rectify it My wife and I ordered from here on Saturday night after about fifty minutes finally arrived. The lasagne was burnt and very little cheese on it. Tried calling back but couldn’t get through and as I say private messaged them gave them 24 hrs to get back and nothing. Would not recommend and will not Norse again
Where do you start Romeos. 1. Dips paid for not in order 2. One of the usual meals that we order, Chicken Cacciattore is quite simply NOT Chicken Cacciattore (either flavourless or cheese sauce flavoured! . Its pot luck when you order it. It's never been the same meal twice! 3. Kebab was sauceless Cold. We have just bitten our tongue in the past, but enough! You have lost another customer of several years.
We regularly order from here when on night's as a last night treat. Never had a problem before. One of the items on the order was wrong mixed kebab came with no chicken and was cold....as was other kebab. Phoned and explained issue and was told to wait. Girl came back and said do you want us to send out another one and I explained I was at work and my break was over. Then she asked what do you want us to do ? I said you can refund it onto my card or credit my account. She then asked me to wait again. Came back and said we need to collect the wrong item. I again explained again that my break was over and I was back at work to which the reply was there's nothing we can do. Disappointed with the attitude towards regular customers so unfortunately we won't be ordering again.
Been a customer of Romeo’s for years but had a horrendous experience this evening. Placed order for delivery, when food arrived (after an hour) I plated it for the family including young kids. When we sat down it was freezing, the chips we not even Luke warm. My 6 year old stated the chips were hard and chewy. Understanding delays sometimes happen I rang the shop. For an explanation. The girl on the phone informed me if the food was untouched they would come and collect it, obviously mine was plated. The call ended. Needless to say the food was binned and I rang back to have the most unprofessional and rude response with one of the staff who when I asked for a manager said he was ‘busy’ making pizzas and sure he would tell me the same information anyway. Another school boy error she made was talking to staff about me when she must of thought I was on hold. She refused to give me her name too, and I’m still waiting on the call back from the manager...
