Contribute FeedbackWarehouse No1 in Londonderry has garnered varied opinions, reflecting a shift in quality over time. While some patrons appreciate the appealing atmosphere and commendable customer service, others express disappointment in the food, citing overcooked fries, small breakfast portions, and overly salty dishes. Complaints about inconsistent meal quality and service have surfaced, including instances of limited menus and underwhelming desserts. However, there are those who celebrate its lunch offerings, such as standout scotch eggs and expertly brewed tea. Overall, visitors can expect a blend of good and mediocre experiences at this neighborhood spot.
My friend and I decided to have breakfast at Warehouse No1. Firstly, the cafe was quite cold and I had to keep my jacket on. We both ordered the full breakfast which cost us £7 each. I was expecting a good breakfast for that price. However, the portion size was very small and the toast was just a tiny sliver of bread, much smaller than a regular slice. The eggs were poached soft without asking for our preference, and the black and white pudding were extremely dry and crumbly. The breakfast only came with one sausage and was barely warm. I also ordered water, but had to go back up to the counter during my meal to ask for it. To make matters worse, my friend became ill after we left and was physically sick. I was thankfully fine, but overall the meal was overpriced, not very satisfying, and the service was lacking. I will not be returning to Warehouse No1.
I had visited the café before but had never heard much about the bistro. I decided to take a chance this weekend and try it out, and we were not disappointed. The service and atmosphere were great, and the food was superb. For our main course, we ordered the duck and fillet steak. Although I prefer my duck cooked a bit pinker, I have no complaints. The bottle of red wine we ordered was served at the perfect temperature and was delicious. To our surprise, the bill was very reasonable. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning.
We have dined at this restaurant multiple times over the past few years. Our experience today for a late lunch was just okay. The fries were overcooked and the burger was fairly standard. The staff were loud and distracting. There is room for improvement.
Had lunch here. Very courteous staff. Scotch egg completely exceeded my expectations. Proper loose leaf tea. They also do all of Derry's craft beers. Wife very happy with her soup and toastie too.
No where near as good as it used to be. Was a fan of the full breakfast, until my last visit. No different to a breakfast from Wetherspoons for nearly twice the price
