We bought 2 fish and chips there on Friday, the fish was very nice but not the batter, that was not cooked through so soggy . The chips were horrible dark brown ,watery and not crispy I would think made with poor potatoes the peas were cold as if they forgot to heat them. I have said it before that there is a beautiful wee-chippy alas a nite they have sent the order wrong the wrong burger 3 times phone complaining was heard by a very rude member of staff then shouting inbackgroud tel...them to f. off I ask to speak, he even appologize just gave me like an erstatt nxt time that we waited
Donaghy,s chip shop is a great wee traditional chippy serving all freshly cooked food. The fresh fish is really good cooked in a very light crisp batter. Chips great as well. Portions are good and prices very reasonable. Best chipper in the area. Also a...small sit in area.
Ordered 2 fish suppers and got 2 fish suppers. The food items themselves were very good and flavourful but the chip portion was definitely on the stingey side.
The food was lovely but if your a big eater like myself then the portion sizes arnt big enough lol. Plus quote expensive 16.50 for a fish supper fillet burger supper and two drinks. But it is lovely
Great fish and chips. recommended for us from a native.
