The Merchants House - Derbyshire Dales

What a beautiful place! slightly unexpected in a small village. good eating, also a few other small things. also good beer and cocktails. we visited to eat a few times and once for a drink. we were not disappointed at any time. the personal was also great!

The steak at this restaurant was incredible! The entire menu is delicious and made in-house, with enticing flavors. The staff was friendly and the service was quick. They also offer a selection of Cask ales, all served in a lovely atmosphere.

We had the most delicious late lunch here. The building is beautiful and cleverly furnished, giving it a warm and modern feel without losing its traditional style. The food was simply exquisite - the best I can remember. We tried the crispy chicken risotto and the pfefferkornburger, both of which were fantastic. The host was polite, friendly, and welcoming.

Had an amazing Sunday lunch at this restaurant. After stopping by for a drink on Saturday and enjoying the atmosphere and service, we decided to return for lunch on Sunday. Sean and Jason were very welcoming. Our party of 4 tried different Sunday lunch options and all of them were perfect. I cannot recommend this place enough.
