We had a fantastic dining experience at this restaurant. The portions were generous, the service was excellent, and the kids especially enjoyed the unique train-dining car. I would definitely recommend this place without any hesitation! View all feedback.
What Corine Mraz doesn't like about Carriages Pub Italian:
we reserved a table in the car. friendly staff. chairs weren't comfortable in the cricket. the chairs were too low and my children were fighting. I asked for an extra kiss for my daughter, but there was no available. most courts we ordered were good. my daughter didn't cost her pizza. there was no printed beverage menu to look at the selection of our drinks. The dining experience was excellent. What an amazing find! Definitely worth a visit. The staff were also fantastic. Sitting in the garden was lovely, with a beautiful atmosphere. The only downside was the smell of frying, but that wouldn't stop me from returning.
Passes this place often and has finally booked a table for Sunday dinner we were not disappointed efficient service nice eating and yet quirky eating in the old railway car. will undoubtedly be back thanks.
We were staying at the local Rivendale Lodge Retreat and were looking for somewhere to go for Sunday lunch. Well, as the title suggests, this place was an absolute find. A great choice of drinks and the bar and restaurant were brilliantly set up to...look like a train carriage, hence the name of the place. The food was fantastic and was definitely one of the nicest Sunday dinners we've had in years. The starters were great and definitely homemade. My wife had the panko coated brie with plum sauce and I had the chicken liver pate. For mains, my wife had a lamb roast dinner and I cheekily asked for all 3 meats, which they accommodated. Both the beef and lamb were superb, but the pork was exceptional. The desserts were also lovely, particularly my wife's gin and tonic trifle. Overall, a really enjoyable meal with great service. Finally, they were dog friendly and made our pooch feel very welcome. Highly recommended.
