The presentation of the food is very good and tasty but nothing out of the ordinary. I had smoked salmon for a starter. The featherblade for main which was very tender and tasty but much too big for me to finish but thats just me....I had the panna cotta which was very nice but the fruit on top was very bitter and sharp. I've reviewed the hotel before but haven't had the chance to eat in the restaurant. On balance, I think the food was average. Whilst I enjoyed my meal, I think it was slightly over priced albeit I won't be paying eventually. The atmosphere was quiet...and there seems to be external diners rather than just guests. Our meal was included in our overnight stay and was worth the money. all the courses were nice, but drink a bit expensive.
Large, long hotel. I have been there for yr fo family events and business meetings. I hope they continue their high standard.
I had three meals and all were good. I was particularly pleased that she did not make softly poached eggs for her on the buffet.
