Went in tonight to get some to go food and a few drinks. The bar was packed. Bartenders crushed it with friendly fast service. Food came out quickly. We got a burger and the fried chicken sandwich both were amazing. The burger was by far one of the best I’ve had in a long time. Cooked perfectly and the fries were amazing. Hands down delicious. What Brittany B doesn't like about West End Tap House:
We have attempted to dine at this restaurant two times now, but each time we walk in, the noise level is unbearable! Why does it have to be so loud? The food appears to be appetizing, but we may never find out because we cannot hear ourselves think over the obnoxiously loud music. View all feedback.
So good! Ok now that I have tried this place in my new neighborhood, I'm hooked. Came here during the chilly below zero temps to watch the football games and grab a bite to eat. Let me tell you that the buttermilk fried chicken sandwich is where it's at! I ordered that and honestly there wasn't a crumb left it was so good! Definitely also order some fries with the honey mustard and the spicy maple aioli. This was a recommendation from our server and she was spot on! Not only is the food delicious but the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is great and there's TVs as well if you're looking for a place to watch sporting events.
This is a cool spot in the heart of Tennyson. Lots of TV's for sports viewing, energetic vibe overall, and back patio area. Sort of a fancy dive, if you will, and that is meant to be a compliment. We have had a mixture of efficiency from the staff over the years, but EJ was our bartender for this visit, and he was amazing. Great efficiency, but his story is worth hearing alone...very interesting dude. For drinks, they are one of the few places that has Myrcenary IPA on tap so that alone makes me happy. They have lots of choices though. We hadn't eaten there up to this point, and I had the mac and cheese. Good, not spectacular, but enough of a tease that we will try another meal there soon. Considering the cool area it is in, I definitely recommend swinging by for a cocktail.
We were in town from Atl and picking up a hiking rental when we stumbled across this place. The menu looked cool and so did the front door so we took a chance. Overall it was fine, with lots of drawbacks that added up. Positives: The food was pretty good They had interesting dipping sauces They had good gluten free buns and gluten free beer available Negatives: Tables were super sticky The menu lists 16oz Holidaily beer for $12. They brought out a 12oz can and when we asked about it, the server told us she's never even seen them serve a 16oz can. She gave us a 20% discount on our drinks for the trouble but please update the menu, guys. Asked for med rare on the burgers, got well done. Ordered 3 dipping sauces and they brought out 4, so a random one we didn't ask for. The dipping sauces on the menus also weren't what was brought out. Again, please update the menus. Overall it was just fine, maybe a cool place if you're local but not a stellar first Denver experience for us.
This is the best bar on Tennyson! We live nearby and frequent the bars around here and this is the best. Kurt is the owner and he is phenomenal. You will see him in the bar any night and he will treat you well. Every other bartender I've met here is so kind and genuine. The food is AMAZING. The ambiance of the restaurant and back patio is amazing. Do yourself a favor and go here for your next drink or a phenomenal old fashioned. They have amazing drink recommendations every single time. Ugh, I cannot get enough!
4.5 stars. While waiting for a table at Tatarian, my best friend and I headed to West End for a drink and snack. We sat on the back patio after a warning from the staff that it looked about to rain. We decided to take the risk because the patio is so cute!! And our waitress was lovely. Parking as usual in this area can be challenging, especially around dinnertime or on weekends. Their food and drink menu seems limited but had everything I needed. Whew! Otherwise I would have spent hours having decision paralysis. For drinks, I started with an Aviation (first time having it at a bar) and finished with some sort of mule. Both very tasty and strong. I'm generally a fan of an Aviation, because who doesn't love pretty purple colors? Because we planned to have dinner elsewhere, we just stuck with the Belgian fries... coincidentally my Belgian friend joined us at some point. Love that West End seems to specialize in sauces, whether for their fries or on the rest of their dishes. We got four different options, and I can't remember which I liked best, but they were all tasty. I'd definitely come back to West End for a drink or to try their burger with the Belgian fries. The inside seating looks swanky as well. Keeping up with all the restaurants on Tennyson, this tap house does not disappoint. Their website (westendtaphouse.com) doesn't have a ton of information, so rely on Yelp or just pop in and check it out.
