4.5 delicious food with a wide range, good and efficient service, nice atmosphere. All the fish was top notch and 'melt in your mouth ' cut. The menu has great variability allowing a dish for everyone. Price point is fair but on the higher end forDenver. Definitely will be back!.
Excellent dining experience. The staff was very kind, professional and the right mix of cordial while maintaining distance-which I prefer when I am going out. Everyone wore masks, which added to a feeling of separation. However, we were pretty close to other patrons. It was a busy evening. We sat at the bar, it felt like we were served quickly. The whole experience was quick, but very fun. We enjoyed the atmosphere, there was a great design to the restaurant. Everything was very clean and minimal. The food was, of course, very good. I was hoping for some rolls, but the sushi was more experimental. Still, very good food. I am particular when I eat, but I love sushi, and I felt like it lived up to the hype. We would go back again for special occasions. It was pricey, but we were expecting to pay more, honestly. Very fun, highly recommended!
The 10 course omakase was an amazing experience. Many of the dishes were items I wouldn't have tried otherwise. The flavor profile was absolutely perfect. Lizzy was a wonderful waitress that explained exactly what went into each dish, she was genuinely excited for us to taste every single one of them. She shared her own experience and helped us identify specific flavors and ingredients. At the end of the meal they provide you with an itemized receipt so you can order your favorites next time.
What an amazing experience. Our server Nichole was amazing. She gave the best suggestions for pre dinner cocktails, what sake to have through dinner, and post dinner cocktails. We can't wait to go back to experience the rest of the menu. We did the Valentine's day omakase so there's so much more to experience there.
I would give 2-3 star if this restaurant is in NYC, Hawaii, or California where Japanese food is really good, but hey, we’re at Denver, so let me lower my bar a little bit. Sushi are nice, but the rice could have been a little bit sticker. Also I don’t know why the portion is so small (maybe seafood is expensive here), but that doesn’t feel satisfying when I put a piece into my mouth. In terms of taste, not among the best sushi I’ve tried, but I can see some creativity here and there. Ordered Wagyu for hot dish, and it’s too salty. Fried Milk (the dessert) is ok, nothing really stand out. I do hope they lower the sweetness though. Overall not a bad place to try out if you’re at Denver and craving for quality Japanese food!
Michelin star worthy. Such a beautiful blend of haute cuisine an humble dishes elevated for fine dining. They manage to perfectly balance each dish, from succulent lobster to numbing mapo tofu. The service is always excellent and attentive. Denver obviously isn’t known for its food scene, but Uchi would be a standout in any major city. My favorite for a special occasion!
