The Red Barber - Denver

If you want a bar with a view, this is it. If you want a bar that has a lot of wait staff, this isn’t it. Our bartender was super friendly but seemed to be the only staff member on hand. We went to the bar to retrieve our own drinks and food. We did appreciate him bringing us a birthday shot and his apologies for being short staffed. Great views of the city from this rooftop bar. Zodiac drinks were flavorful. Watch out! The Cancer is spicy.

This place could be incredible. It is hard to find how to get to it. Then when you get off the elevator there is no direction on how to be helped. No signs, no stands, no humans to help. It seemed like there were 2 bartenders running the entire place. The place is beautiful, I just wish it functioned better. This was not my first visit. I thought it might have improved since I visited the first time when it was newer. They had less guests and I'm not totally surprised.

The decor is adorable with great views of the city! However the food is very overpriced for the quality.

I made a reservation at Red Barber through OpenTable. Upon arriving, we followed the hotel signage to the rooftop, where there were people but it wasn't crowded. We found a place to sit since the table with the fire pit that I had reserved was taken. When I went to the bar to check in for our reservation, I was informed that Red Barber is no longer operating as a bar; it has transformed into a private event space. The staff member mentioned that we could go down to the lobby bar to purchase drinks and bring them back, but there would be no food or drink service available upstairs. We decided to leave and find another location. The bartender was very friendly and visibly frustrated that OpenTable allowed me to make a reservation. Clearly, the system needs to be updated.
