our server knew his customers. he was personally, friendly and helpful, without being intrusive. he didn't rush us at all. eating was really good with some surprising and tasty flavor combinations. my friend and I ordered three starters and two desserts between us. we were satisfied and not overcrowded, so we felt comfortable when we went to the theater. the chef came out and said hello, and I liked his creation to s... What User doesn't like about Terra Denver:
everything we ordered was delicious: pork pliers, Osso-Bucco, meatballs. the rolls were fantastic. but, like others, the price seemed not to correlate to the actual portion. $16 for five little meatballs? $22 for six tortellini in broth? the menu is small; I would like to see it expand. it is a convenient location for events in dcpa. The service was so good! The food was great as a concept but nothing was served hot. I would have loved our food if it wasn't Luke warm. Definitely try the lamb oso bucco!
This place is flat out garbage. The food was overpriced and overcooked. I’d definitely recommend going to another restaurant. It’s a great location. But the lighting makes you feel like your in a bar after it closes with the lights on bright with no ambience. Service seemed inexperienced and the kitchen was way behind for a half empty restaurant. Hence it had open tables everywhere.
The food was very good and the service was excellent. I had the lamb and my wife had the pork. Food came out fast and the drinks were on point. GREAT JOB!
Very overpriced and small portions for the price. We had a $17 and $18 cocktail and while tasty, generally these kinda of drinks should cost around $14/15 max, to set and example for the kind of over priced issues. Server paid more attention to the table next to us, younger, attractive, no kids and while they arrived after us, they were finished before us due to inattentiveness. One of the dishes had a $2 up charge on the bill VS the online menu, and I didn’t ask to see the in-house menu to compare. There was a 4% (almost $10) additional tax for what we don’t know, because the server never came back after she dropped the bill. Whatever, we paid and left. We’ve dined in a lot of fine dinning establishments from California to New York and we both agreed that the $350 bill was outrageous given the portions for 3 apps, 3 entrees, a $55 dollar bottle of wine, 2 cocktails and two sodas. The food was good, just not worth the price.
Menu was not very extensive and, even at that, after ordering my first choice entree, the server returned to tell me it was not available, so I had to revert to my second choice. Server seemed more intent on getting us to decide on or order than answering questions about items on the menu. Cocktail #9 was creative and tasty. Potato salad side dish was good, hot and crispy, but delivered to the table first and well before our entrees arrived. Very bad timing. Roasted duck breast was good, not fabulous. Bucatinin with clams was highly average, pretty dry. Restaurant was packed when we arrived at 6 PM, nearly completely empty by 7:30, indicating most patrons are pre-DCPA diners. Good to have another restaurant serving this purpose, but doubt they will last long if they don't improve in key areas.
