Very beautiful custom cake! The cake itself was funfetti and really tasty, but the frosting was near inedible. The frosting had little to no taste and was very very firm, almost like it had too much butter or was over churned. However the cake itself was good and pretty just what we requested. This place has some of the best frosting that i have ever had. It's not too heavy, it's not too sweet but you know that you are enjoying the sugary goodness of frosting. These cupcakes are extremely messy, do not try to eat in a car! I got the chocolate peanut butter cupcake and the chocolate dream. The chocolate peanut butter cupcake had tasty peanut butter frosting but the cupcake was just a regular chocolate not special about it. The chocolate dream was delicious and I probably should have only gotten this one, things I wish I knew before, but it was most and heavy and had just more flavor packed into the little cake.

Best cupcakes I have ever eatten!! I was in town for a few days. I was headed to a popcorn shop, it was closed,ugh, but 2 doors down to my delight I found the Mermaid Bakery Cupcakes. [I have to admit I had seen mermaid cupcakes on googlemaps the day before and they looked yummy but my understanding from googlemaps the shop was only for orders of several, 12 cupcakes or cakes etc...so I wrote the place off being I only wanted a couple.]Okay back to today, I stepped through the 2 sets of doors and to my wonderful suprise they did have individual cupcakes for sale!! My understanding they do not prepare allot of individual cupcakes to sale each day so you might not find your favorite flavor but gosh I bet they are all yummy! I got a salted caramel chocolate and I can't remember the name of the other, it's for my hubby, he'll love it!The icing! The moist cake part. Heavenly!! I met the owners, both working hard. Very nice, kind and welcoming.If you're in Denver and need a little treat or want to treat someone or just curious from this review...check them out, you wont be disappointed!Oh, they have gluten free, call in the morning ask to save you one.

Ordered cupcakes for my friend’s birthday in Denver from TX! Super friendly and accommodating staff Turtle Dove small cupcakes got raving reviews from my friend! Prices are reasonable! Recommend emailing them directly rather than using their website contact feature. Would definitely order from them again!!!

Ordered 3 dozen cupcakes for a birthday and they were ready on time, decorated beautifully and tasted delicious! The staff was friendly when ordering and at pickup. Parking can be a struggle for pickup but just call them and they will bring your order out to you!
