Some of the dishes were very good, but the shrimp appetizer was heavy of breading and how it was fried. Same for the chicken piccata which was very heavy on breading and over fried. The short rib was excellent. They have also changed their menu to all small plates or the theater pre-fixed menu, which the above was off of. Felt limiting and may be where they do the majority of their business, but the lack of choices was a turn off.
Our second time to enjoy the atmosphere and amazing food at LeRoux. The service was fantastic and Lenny the bartender/waiter treated us to a new summer drink which in keeping with the “Bond” list of signature drinks we named Jinx after Halle Berry due to its unique blend of flavors including raspberry. LeRoux has a great bar, excellent wine selection and the food is amazing. Perfect atmosphere for a fun evening or date night.
I took a date to LaRoux for what I was hoping would be a quiet, intimate experience, but the place was so loud I could barely hear my date talking. We were seated in the front room where every table was full and the noise was overwhelming. As the evening went on the other tables emptied out except for one table of three extremely loud women across from us. They were so loud I actually asked the server to move us to another part of the restaurant which is something I have never done before, but I just couldn't take it anymore.
Menu felt awkward and lacking, portions (both food and cocktails) were smaller than desired for the price.
A new favorite. The service and food were excellent. Joshua is a throwback waiter, just top shelf. Happy hour prices very reasonable. Tasty music at the perfect volume for conversation. The decor is beautiful. My only request would be to revisit the lighting. The chandeliers are beautiful but overpowered by the harsh LED lights that, for me at least, killed the otherwise warm and welcoming atmosphere. For sure I’ll be back. So good!
