Contribute FeedbackLatigo Restaurant has emerged as a promising new dining destination, offering a fresh take on Mexican cuisine that stands apart from the typical offerings in the area. While the ambiance might lack the charm of its predecessor, Paxia, the unique menu items, including standout dishes like pastel de salmon, entice patrons seeking flavorful experiences. Although initial visits reveal a few service hiccups and a quieter atmosphere, favorable happy hour deals and raved-about margaritas add to its appeal. With friendly staff and a relaxed setting, Latigo aims to carve its niche, becoming a go-to spot before events at Coors Field.
The food at this restaurant was exceptional. Initially, our service was great when we arrived early in the evening with only a few other tables. However, it quickly deteriorated. Our waitress ignored us even after we tried to get her attention, and only came to serve us after being prompted by the host, Jose. Despite the poor service, we found the food to be outstanding. The host even made up for the disappointing service by treating us to dessert. We would return to this restaurant purely for the food, but they need to improve their service if they want to stay in business. If the service was this bad on a slow Saturday night, I can only imagine how it would be during a busy night, especially during baseball season. I wish them luck in surviving.
We miss the ambiance of the previous Paxia location. When we visited on a Saturday night, the restaurant was nearly empty. However, they still offer some wonderful menu options from their previous location. We wish them success in their new space, but we may not return again.
First off, the service was impeccable and our waitress was extremely friendly, knowledgeable. Secondly, I 'm not sure why this place isn 't packed on a Friday night. Regardless, our meals seasoned perfectly and the portions could feed a family. My husband and I are from New Jersey, so we know great food and this places surpassed anything that we 've eaten in Denver and we 've been to a lot of great 'atmosphere ' restaurants BUT terrible food. We 're kind of food stubs (BTW...a foodie is fool that just eats). We love great food with levels of favors and textures NOT the common explanations of ingredients from waitress/waiter that 98% falls short every time. We LOVE Denver Colorado, but your food is the worse. That 's many reasons why I love to cook at home to make up the bad meals we 've eaten in Denver. So if your looking for a solid A+ restaurant with great food, try this place
We were looking for a place to go watch the super bowl and have dinner. And my husband notice Latigo We were greeted by the owner I think that's who it was. So friendly. We felt very comfortable in this place. We loved the atmosphere and the food was delicious. We had so much fun. That we will go back. And this time with my family.
This place is an excellent example of exquisite modern Mexican cuisine. I've eaten here multiple times and am always excited to return.
