Icehouse Tavern - Denver

Emily was fantastic as the bar server/manager! She was quick, friendly, and highly attentive to customers. It was a bit loud, but that was to be expected since it was right after Rocky’s walk-off win. The wings and garlic knots were amazing!

The atmosphere was fantastic, but unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to expectations. I ordered tater tots that were overcooked and hard, and my pulled pork sandwich came on very stale bread. There were no waitstaff; we had to place our orders at the bar. It seemed like they were overwhelmed with customers and short on help, but that’s just my impression. Despite this, we plan to return because the place has a nice vibe! I’m hopeful that the food will improve during our next visit.

I want to like this place but the service makes that impossible. Normally the food is great, imo a great value for the location, but I have yet to be here when service is even “average”. The service is so incompetent that they drive away the locals who would normally show up here. Unfortunately, today the food was even below par. Today I ordered a pizza that was completely under cooked and never once saw the server. Keep in mind there are four servers and roughly 6 people at the bar at this point. If you are the owner you are missing out on revenue because these bartenders are slow and inefficient. They are also totally unengaged. You are doing yourself a disservice by having these people ruin this bars good name.I personally won’t be back. Been coming here for years but can no longer tolerate it taking 30+ minutes to even get acknowledged at the bar and it’s been like that nearly every time! Even. Is been sitting at the bar for the last 30 minutes without even an “are you good”.

Solid drinks and GREAT pizza. Reasonable price and quick service. It's a sports bar and they do it well.

I suspect they might be diluting the alcohol! Stick to ordering beer instead of cocktails.
