I would give this restaurant 4 stars only because they forgot our appetizer flatbread, which came out after our burgers. The classic tap burger was delicious though! I added speck and fresh jalapeños for some extra flavor. The au jus added a nice touch. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Highland Tap And Burger:
My husband and I were out and decided to have lunch in Highlands and wanted a burger. Well, it took them 15 minutes to get us a soda. Then we thought we better order some chips and salsa so we didn't starve before we got our meals. The waitress was the hostess, bartender, and part of the wait staff. If you are looking for a lunch where you will wait for over 2 hours, this is the place for you!! The food was good but... View all feedback.

This is one of the best burger joints in Denver. The wings were generously sized and delicious. The sauce was particularly on point, especially the smoky flavor. I recommend this place to everyone. They also have a great selection of beers. The staff were also fantastic.
I decided to dine at this restaurant again, based on past positive experiences. However, my recent visit was disappointing. I ordered a burger priced at $16, which was mediocre at best. I could have gone to McDonald's and ordered from their $1 menu. The two beers I ordered were priced at $7 each, which is reasonable these days. However, I was taken aback when a 20% service fee was added on top of the total bill. This meant an additional $1.40 added to each beer and the 20% charge applied to all items, including tax. This added cost was excessive and unexpected. I won't be returning to this restaurant. It's time for consumers to stand up against establishments that take advantage of their customers. I wonder how many people will unknowingly pay the extra 20%. The food and service weren't terrible, but the overall experience was not worth it.
This restaurant serves some of the best burgers in town. I highly recommend trying the bacon Bleu cheese burger - it was cooked perfectly, juicy, and incredibly flavorful. The bar service is also very friendly.
The Black and Blue burger was outstanding, and the cider was delicious. Our server, Paul, was fantastic as well.
