Herb's Hideout - Denver
Herb's Hideout
Description
Tucked into Denver’s nightlife, Herb’s Hideout is a beloved dive where nightly live bands—blues, jazz and funk—energize an intimate, slightly spooky room hung with bats and masks. Friendly, attentive bartenders pour affordable drafts, classic cocktails (notably a solid Old Fashioned) and local brews; there’s no cover charge, a smoking patio and merch. Excellent acoustics and close proximity to the stage create a communal, late-night vibe perfect for music lovers and locals who don’t mind a packed, high-energy scene.

These guys are fantastic! The bartenders provide excellent customer service, and the music is awesome. It’s the best place in downtown Denver.
Fantastic blues and jazz music! The staff is incredibly friendly. They serve an excellent Old Fashioned cocktail. Plus, the prices are very reasonable. I also picked up a pullover from Herb's Hideout.
Always a fun time at Herbs!!! Quick drinks and always a live band! Service is always friendly and quick
Looking to kickstart another night after a long one? This dive bar is just the place for you! The eerie vibe is just enough to be entertaining, with bats and spooky masks adorning the ceiling—though you might find yourself wondering if a monster party is on the agenda before the night wraps up. The live music is exceptional, blending soulful blues with upbeat rock, and the bar genuinely values and encourages patrons to tip the band. The staff is friendly and energetic, always attentive to customer needs without putting up with any nonsense. The draft selection boasts local brews, and the majority of the crowd consists of locals, creating a welcoming atmosphere where you can enjoy the night with new friends. So, don’t hesitate to pull up a stool at the bar; they’re friendly unless...
Great drinks. A very intimate setting the funk band on the night we went was amazing. This little venue/bar had really good acoustics and the stage is such that you can really get caught up in the intimate proximity to the band. However, the small size of this place is not for the faint of heart when it's jam packed. You gotta like people and not mind being close to others. Which was not a problem that I saw with anyone there. Everyone was friendly and accommodating and just out for some great music, good drinks and a good time.
