Contribute FeedbackAt this downtown Denver restaurant, experiences vary significantly. While some diners praise the vibrant atmosphere and attentive service, others express disappointment with the food quality, particularly during restaurant week. Issues like overcooked proteins and lackluster accompaniments are noted, contrasting with enjoyable dishes like the chocolate cherry cake and well-seasoned garlic mashed potatoes. Although the ambiance is appealing, marked by a relaxed vibe and suitable music levels, inconsistencies in food preparation and temperature detract from the overall experience. Despite the mixed reviews, some guests find the service commendable and express a desire to return, highlighting its potential amidst the competition.
My waiter gave good suggestions on what I should try and was very friendly. Another waiter diligently refilled my water glass. I felt very comfortable and the noise level was pleasant. The food was good, though I wish I had gotten appetizers. Overall it was a good experience!
The server initially brought the wrong drink and then completely forgot my correct drink, requiring me to ask her twice. The dinner was mediocre, with the ratatouille being overcooked and the bread served with it being too hard. The salad was decent, but the chicken I added was dry. I would not recommend this restaurant.
I wanted to like this place, because the menu looked great, but sadly left, feeling well disappointed. First of all, though there is an entrance right off of California, it was looked with no signage to indicate how to best get in, other than a sign saying, this entrance is for the restaurant only. So we walked to the front of the hotel and went through the food hall to get to the restaurant. Our server was excellent and took very good care of us, and made a couple of recommendations on the food. when the food came out, it looked really good. However, this is where the disappointment, hit. My wife ordered the Scallops, and they came out very chewy. They were edible, but you could tell that they were not as fresh as they should have been. I chose the Bison Prime Rib, and though it was tasty and well seasoned, it was also Luke warm at best. The demiglace on top was congealing and the inside of the giant onion ring was still cold. The Garlic Mashed potatoes were really good, but the couscous was nothing to write home about. For desert we had the chocolate Cherry Cake and it was by far the best thing about the dinner. It was full of flavor, and was well worth getting. We did finish the nice with a pleasant surprise. Because we are locals to the area, we did get a 20% discount, though that was only discovered because our card was from a local credit union. All in all, it was a hotel restaurant, that was priced and geared along the same lines as a restaurant with a captive audience. With all of the other choices for downtown, this one is not going to be up to par with the rest of its competition.
Our server was excellent. The prices were a bit steep, especially for downtown Denver. However, my white wine was not chilled to the proper temperature (it seemed closer to room temperature), and my soup was not hot. Additionally, my salad was missing the pistachios.
The lamb shank I ordered was so over cooked you couldn’t tell it was lamb. The waiter did a great job and removed it from our check. Apart from that the restaurant is inside a Hotel which doesn’t show up on the Open Table app.
