Reviews - Elway's
Reviews summary
Elway's, a popular steakhouse in Denver, has mixed reviews. While some diners were disappointed by the quality of the food and service, others had a great experience. The boneless prime rib special was not worth the price, with chewy meat and disappointing sides. However, some guests praised the attentive service and delicious food, especially when paired with excellent service from staff like Brandy and Paul. Overall, opinions vary on Elway's, with some questioning the value for money while others enjoying a memorable dining experience.

Everything from our server Christine to the final drop of #7 Reserve Cab was perfect! We ordered the grilled artichoke, beet salad, dashi sea bass and the halibut. Everything was excellent! I hope to return to Denver just to eat here again!
I made a reservation for Mother's Day, but the restaurant wasn't very crowded, so we probably could have walked in. I ordered the 6 oz filet, Brussels sprouts, mac and cheese, prime rib, and carrot cake. Everything was fantastic—no complaints at all. The filet and mac and cheese were probably the highlights compared to other places I’ve been to. Prices were what you would expect from a quality steakhouse.
Would highly recommend the Chicken Fried Lobster tails, either as a starter to share or as a meal for one person. The Sherry beurre blanc sauce is awesome. The filet was excellent and would suggest the onion rings as a side.
Kayla was extremely attentive , and the sommelier poured us a perfect bottle of wine that we ordered , and we had a great conversation with him , food was on point , just fantastic , and the lobster was perfectly cooked our waiter she was always smiling and trust me it made our dining experience enjoyable , definitely we will be back
I must also highlight the servers who contributed to our fantastic banquet of delicious dishes. Derek, also known as Bubba, provided outstanding customer service – it was hands down the best I’ve ever experienced. Katie was equally impressive, as were the entire bar staff, who were all kind, welcoming, and immediately acknowledged our presence upon arrival. This has truly been one of the best birthdays of my life. Cheers to turning 40!

Very nice experience, we had a quiet table and ate very well/ yummy food! The waitress was fun and sommelier was helpful and fun.
We had an amazing server, Brandy. The food was tasty, although it may have seemed a bit expensive if it weren't for the exceptional service. We were pleased to pay for the overall experience.
The food and service at this restaurant are absolutely amazing. Our server, Paul, is the best in the business. I cannot recommend this place enough!
I made a last-minute reservation and was thrilled to get a table. The food was amazing! We ended up ordering more than we could eat, but we were so glad we did. We tried the filet, prime rib, au gratin potatoes, Brussels sprouts, and more. The staff were able to accommodate a nut allergy and recommended a great wine pairing that was both delicious and reasonably priced. Our waiter, Devin, provided fantastic service throughout the meal.

We were seated an hour after our reservation time, and the wine glasses had lipstick marks from previous guests. There was no cocktail service available in the lounge, our water glasses were never refilled, and our food was delivered to the wrong table. While the food was good, the unacceptable service and cleanliness made the experience frustrating and not worth it.
This elegant steakhouse offers a captivating menu with a range of unique dishes, including a delightful three-course soup sampler and homemade ding dongs and s'mores for dessert. Traditional options are also available and are equally outstanding. The service is both friendly and efficient, starting with the welcoming hosts who seat you, and continuing with the two attentive servers who take care of you throughout your meal. The wine list is impressive and extensive.

Where to begin; started, fine but worst parking for what should be one of the best steak houses of Denver; only TWO (2) disabled spots; if Valet existed, it was two badly dressed questionable men spent far to the right of the door just talking to each other a 6:00 reservation.... Elways is clearly not one of the best steak houses in Denver (the prices are slightly double the quality of the food) Never again is Del Frisco for us
It was superb and Paul took good care of us. It was a packed evening and with that many people quite loud but it did not detract from our time together. I was surprised with a wonderful birthday dessert at the end.
I took a friend for his birthday dinner. He was looking forward to the Prime Rib from which he had heard so much. At 20:00 a.m. on a Saturday evening there were no Prime Rib available and only one served left of the darkened trout. He was very disappointed and we both believe that this is completely unacceptable that such a high-end restaurant is so early in the evening from two participants on the menu. Has it come to the point that you have to make a reservation for the food and for a seat??
