Crock Spot - Denver
Crock Spot
Description
Tucked into Park Hill, this cozy neighborhood spot offers fresh, health-minded crock bowls, a wide menu, beer and wine, and a pet‑friendly patio. Friendly, speedy service and comforting flavors appeal to many, though seasoning and portion sizes can be inconsistent and prices run high; some bowls arrive dry or barley‑heavy. A solid choice for health-conscious, casual diners seeking quick, local meals — with occasional hit‑or‑miss dishes.

It was OK the first time so I went back, ordered the curry with root vegetables basically I got potatoes slightly over cooked potatoes with tasteless curry and a ton of barley very disappointed I think there was a one or two mushrooms in there but it's sold as root vegetable so you expect a sweet potato or some thing that comes from the earth besides a potato basically it was curried potatoes over a ton of barley almost $20 for lunch, I was very hopeful probably try again but I don't know it's a bit expensive for what I got yesterday especially
We were in search of a healthy option and stumbled upon this fantastic place. I ordered the beef curry, and it was absolutely delicious with generous portions. It definitely exceeded our expectations, and I’m looking forward to returning. The service was friendly, and the atmosphere was wonderful.
Is ok. There is a pocket park next door so it is kinda a good option if you have kids. They do serve beer and wine. Food is calories.
Cute new spot in Park Hill. The crock bowl that I ordered was amazing and super tasty. They also have a wide variety of beer and wine. The staff were super nice and welcoming. I will definitely be coming back.
I love to support local businesses! I came in super enthusiastic to try this place and left feeling bummed. Here's what happened: Pros: Healthy veggies are even steamed, so no oil is used in cooking them Filling! The person who took our order was friendly! Cons: Very strange flavor combinations. Most bowls, including the Thyme seasoned Celtic white beans, are topped with Sriracha sour cream. This just doesn't work. It seems there could be greater skill and intuition around building flavors. My wife's Salt Peppa Chicken was gray chunks of plain salted chicken mixed with kidney beans very unappetizing. The chicken would be great if browned or even shredded and the kidney beans seemed very random and disconnected. The bowls are made very dry. And extra sauce costs extra. Crazy expensive. My wife and I paid $38 !!! for our lunch 2 bowls, 1 pierogi app, 1 can La Croix tip . I'm always looking for fast, healthy food options and wanted to love this place! Sadly, I just couldn't love it. Hopefully Crock Spot's food will change and evolve into something extraordinary over time. I wish them the best!
