Great place for dancing. They play a good mix of country, top 40, and old school music you want to sing and dance to. Friday night had a fast moving line and a $5 cover. Only complaint- it was so hot. We tried to dance in front of the fans the whole night. $4 drink specials on Friday nights, too! View all feedback.
What Justin C doesn't like about Cowboy:
More like Hip Hop Lounge . I guess this is what the 'country ' scene has come to. Also, why have a Coat Check sign, when you never have it open?! Also also, no Coors???? Must be too far from the brewery... View all feedback.
A friend and I popped in on a Saturday night and the place was packed. They played a mix of country, old hip hop and top 40. The wait to get a drink was a few minutes. I ordered two Tito's and waters and I felt like it was 75 percent vodka. There were around $8 each. There was a $5 cover. Why..I dunno. There was no band. There was a huge dance floor filled with people, it was kind of hard to get to the bathroom in the back. We cleaned off a table ourself so we could sit down. Overall, if you want strong drinks and a place to dance, this would be a solid option.
I 've stopped into Cowboy Lounge on two separate occasions now; coincidentally both times as part of a group for bachelorette parties. While I was excited to experience a different kind of club downtown I find Cowboy Lounge to be just A OK. TUNES: The first time I was here the music by no means was country. In fact it was mostly ninties pop (Backstreet Boys anyone? . Strange given the name of the joint is Cowboy Lounge. Fast forward to a few weeks later when I returned and it was nothing BUT country. Not an issue for a country loving girl like me, but those I was with were less than impressed. What did they expect? DRINKS: The bartenders were very friendly and attentive. Like most places downtown, I feel that the drinks are a tad over priced. But that 's part of the experience right? $7 for Jameson anything is a bit steep if you ask me. CROWD: Eh. It 's a mixed basket here. Mr first visit the place was PACKED. Everyone was dancing and having a great time. Most recently it was fairly empty and those that were here, had little interest in dancing... Weird. All in all, Cowboy Lounge wasn 't a terrible stop during either bachelorette party. Def has it 's better nights.

Have enjoyed coming here for years. However, tonight I have never felt more disrespected by an establishment and on my BIRTHDAY no less!!! Thursday nights are lady 's night (which i did not know, and was informed of by my younger sister). Service took so long we decided to order two drinks at a time. We were accused by the bartender of sharing with men in our group. One being my husband who was our DD and the other being a friend who had a receipt of his purchase for his drink. The blonde, rude bartender on her power trip came over ... dumped out our drinks saying, I know the kinda people you are! I 'm dumping these! At this point we have four bouncers and a manager in our face asking what 's going on. We told her it was only the two of us drinking, and her employee took it too far! Of course the manager stuck with her employee and kicked us out.
I was visiting from Guatemala. A black guy Handed my ID and he said I couldn't go in bc he think my Id is fake and I should bring my passport instead, how in the hell I could do that to go in a freaking bar. I don't know what's the **** is wrong with this bar they are so stupid. I advice everyone DONT VISIT THIS PLACE! One star is to much for this shitty place.
