Diners rave about the classic clam chowder, especially when served in a sourdough bread bowl. The butterflied fried shrimp and crab bisque also receive high praise, with flavors that transport patrons to the coast. The cozy, lively atmosphere makes it a perfect spot, even on chilly evenings. While the menu encourages exploration of various seafood delights, including poke and cioppino, the attentive service adds to the experience, ensuring that each visit is enjoyable. For seafood enthusiasts, Chowder Room is a must-visit destination.
I absolutely adore this restaurant, especially on a chilly evening! There's nothing better than enjoying a warm bowl of chowder on a cold night. I also frequent this place in the warmer months. I visited twice in late December 2017 and thoroughly enjoyed the delicious crab bisque special. Their New England clam chowder is also a must-try, especially with the added bacon! It can get a bit noisy and sitting by the door on a busy night can be chilly, but I am thrilled to see this restaurant doing so well in the neighborhood.
We had a great experience at Chowder Room. The chowder was delicious, especially the classic white chowder. I would highly recommend trying it in a sourdough bread bowl, as both were fantastic! We also enjoyed the calamari plate, which was equally enjoyable. To end our meal, we each had a scoop of sweet cream ice cream. Overall, a perfect combination that you can't go wrong with.
The Chowder Room restaurant immerses me in a seaside atmosphere with its decor, fresh seafood, and welcoming ambiance. The clam chowder is undeniably delicious, with traditional and inventive variations to choose from. The butterflied fried shrimp is the best I've ever tasted, and I search far and wide for top-notch shrimp. A variety of fresh seasonal dishes are always available, prepared to perfection. The menu offers a chance to sample a range of items like scallops, fish, lobster, and fried clams, all guaranteed to be delicious no matter your choice.
We’ve dined here a dozen times. Fresh New England style seafood. Great cocktails, cozy and lively, hidden Denver gem. Everything is wonderful and we’ve tried poke, oysters, New England clam chowder, cioppino style chowder, fresh sea bass in a fennel broth is to die for, fried shrimp like no where else. Sautéed spinach with garlic a must. Two negatives: why do I have to ask for chop sticks with my ahi tuna? Ahi doesn’t taste as nice using metal utensils. Sometimes you wash a set, last time you only had two sets for the four of us. WTHeck? Also, with my fried shrimp, sorry I still like my cocktail sauce. The chowder room is a find. When you’re craving seafood and miss the beaches of The coast come here for a fun evening!
Chowder Room transports me to a place near the shore from the decor, to the fresh and delicious seafood, to the friendly, laid-back vibe. The clam chowder is without a doubt incredibly delicious, and there are always both traditional and creative versions to try. The butterflied fried shrimp is the best I have ever had, anywhere, and I scour the earth for great shrimp! There are always various kinds of fresh seasonal offerings, and the preparations are superb. The menu is great for trying a lot of different things scallops, fish, lobster, fried clams. No matter what you order, it will all be delicious.
