Our waiter was Italian himself and was able to even explain which locations in Italy the dishes were from. I was impressed by his promptness, professionalism and kindness. The food was decent, although I do think my pappardelle noodles were a little on the thick side. Nonetheless, it was delicious. But we had not been back in a very long time after a really terrible service experience where the pizza one person ordered was missed, took the waiter a very long time to notice then a really long time to get it delivered. So last week I convinced my husband to try it again. Sadly, the same waiter was ridiculously slow through the entire meal. Other staff members noticed and tried to move things along. From the minute we sat to drinks, appetizers, and dinner was eons long wait. The bill was quick though! Cafe Mercato you have a great thing going, I hope you can get your front of house in order.
