Boyztown - Denver
Boyztown
Description
Tucked in Denver’s Boyztown, this intimate, dive-style gay bar delivers lively late-night entertainment with attentive bartenders, attractive, engaging dancers and a welcoming crowd—perfect for bachelorette parties, groups or newcomers. Drinks and stage shows are highlights, though the vibe can be uneven: music or DJ banter sometimes clashes with the mood, dancer schedules run late, and occasional service hiccups (doorman, bathroom latch) temper an otherwise fun, energetic spot with clear potential.

Usually the place has an awesome vibe and is a lot of fun. But lately the DJ (Saturday 2/18) was terrible on the mic. He’d obnoxiously ruin the mood and feel by announcing things like “dancers rotate” in the middle of of the evening. It’s disconcerting and loud. He could easily ask for someone to come by and then tell them to deliver the message. Other than the DJ the place is fun and full of great dancers and bartenders.
The lack of female performers during my experience at the restaurant was disappointing. I wish they had advertised this more clearly. It would have improved my overall visit.
I visited from Houston on a Friday night. The bar has a nice design and the drinks were good. However, the music didn’t fit the vibe at all. There were only about five dancers, and they didn’t seem very happy to be there. The place has a lot of potential, but it's not quite there yet.
