Cool, fun place on the edge of the Highlands. This is one of Denvers Hotspots for good bar food, good drinks, and good-looking people. As soon as you walk in, you're carded at any of the 3 entrances. There is a huge bar that has on opening to the outside and indoor area. The kitchen is to the left of the bar and cracks out great bar eats in lighting speed. There is a huge outdoor seating area some partially covered wi... View all feedback.
What Tiana M doesn't like about Blue Moon Beergarden:
Our waitress was good. The decor/ambiance was fun. The food was just mediocre. Definitely more of a place to go hang out and drink. It was pouring outside so we didn't get to play any of the games or anything : View all feedback.
Our welcome party at Recess Beer Garden for 100 out-of-town wedding guests received outstanding feedback from everyone and set the tone for the entire weekend. A special shoutout to the event coordinator, Angelica! She was fantastic to work with, offering valuable advice tailored to our specific needs. Her food suggestions were spot on, and impressively, she worked tirelessly during the entire four-hour event to assist the excellent staff in serving a lively crowd eager to eat, drink, and celebrate. The food was delicious, consistently available, and kept hot throughout the event. I think guests enjoyed the churros so much that they were taking them home for breakfast! The venue’s ambiance is also perfect for events, featuring a private indoor/outdoor area with a secure bar that was off-limits to the public during our event. Plus, it's easily accessible from Union Station, whether you choose a beautiful, safe walk or a quick Uber ride. This was the ideal venue in Denver to kick off a fun weekend! Thank you once again to Angelica and all the staff for making the event fabulous!
There are plenty of seating options, and our waitress, Lisa, was absolutely amazing. She even brought a pup cup for our dog, Wookie, which was such a sweet gesture! Her customer service was top-notch, especially considering how busy it was when we arrived. Just a heads up about parking: it's street parking, and while it can get busy, finding a spot nearby isn't too hard, especially on a nice day. I’m giving this place a 4 out of 5 because I found the food prices—specifically for the appetizers—to be a bit high for the portion sizes and overall taste. The pretzel bites we ordered were $14, and there just weren't many of them, and they didn't taste that great either.
This is the best place to be! The area is filled with numerous restaurants, so I stopped in here both before and after dinner. The drinks were fantastic—I had a Moscow Mule, and it was perfectly refreshing. The bartenders and security staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. I believe Recess has one of the best outdoor seating areas I've experienced, surpassing many spots downtown and in other cities. I would definitely return!
While half of our group really enjoyed their meals, the other half found the food just average. The chicken Caesar wrap was tasty but quite basic, mostly consisting of lettuce and Caesar dressing. The fish and chips were a solid option as well, especially since they come with a generous serving of crunchy, flavorful fries, which is a definite highlight. Those who weren’t as satisfied with their dishes ordered the French dip and the Cuban. All in all, it’s a great spot to hang out, but you might want to consider eating before or after your visit!
We had a fantastic time at Recess while enjoying a few drinks! The outdoor area is spacious with plenty of shade, making it a perfect spot to relax. The bar staff were friendly, and our drinks arrived quickly. I highly recommend visiting this place when the weather is nice!
