Bird - Denver
Bird
Description
Set in the Pearl Street district, this charming modern neighborhood eatery offers a sunny patio, approachable prices and several standout dishes—arugula salad, a craveable chicken-salad sandwich, vegan powerbowl and memorable duck. Service is hit-or-miss: some servers are warm and attentive, others curt or distracted, and the kitchen can deliver inconsistent plates, forgotten sides or slow orders. Ideal for brunch or casual dinners if you enjoy thoughtful, mostly well-executed food and a pleasant atmosphere, but expect occasional execution and service lapses.

I want to like this place, but I just don’t. Each time I’ve been has been unfortunately underwhelming. The food is…basic. Mac and cheese I could have made better at home, the chicken and waffles did not wow, and the drinks are pricey. Also the hostess was telling every table she sat about how pissed she was to have been called in to work. Not a great vibe to start off a meal. Came with friends a time before and we had a similar experience- mediocre food with weird mistakes on orders. Won’t be back :
I had an arugula salad that was amazing! We went at a really busy time, and our waitress was super busy. The tables were a bit close for conversation hard to hear, but again we went at the lunch hour..
Experience/Environment: This is one of those places that’s intimate but spacious. Also decor is very simple and modern which is my favorite.Restaurant is located amongst residential neighborhood with other restaurants and businesses it reminded me of Portland.Price: Entrees were reasonable. Average around $20. Appetizers about $15. Sorry, didn’t take notice of the drinks.Food: Everything looked amazing. My Vegan Powerbowl was delicious. I opted out on adding anything else and it was perfect serving. Everyone liked the meatloaf, but chicken review wasn’t the best.Service: Kate our waitress was cool. She was pretty attentive for the most part other than the beginning. I wanted to order appetizers for the table but couldn’t find her.NTT Next Time Try : Likely the shrimp pasta dish. As you can see in the pic, it looked bomb.Thank me later ; Smile, eat, hydrate. Live honest and don’t settle. Hope to see you out there! xo
Food is great, drinks are great. Not cheap but definitely worth the price.Even something simple like a chicken salad sandwich is amazing. The bread itself was delicious and I kept wondering what is this bread. There are many dishes I plan to eventually try.
