This restaurant exceeded my expectations; the sugar steak was fantastic, and everything else we tried was equally impressive. The atmosphere was quite elegant.
I loved this place. I enjoyed the cozy, comfort food and dining feel, friendly and efficient service, and delicious food. I ordered my filet David style, it was cooked just the way I ordered it, and it was very good. I will definitely go back!
We had a great time! We liked the food. We didn't care for the sugar tub but despite that it's still the best steak I've had in a while. Bread pudding was fantastic. Drinks were ok. Service seemed overwhelmed.
What a time! I was so lucky to snag a reservation while my dad was in town and we had a great time. Started at the bar with a drink, we were seated promptly, and had a great time from the jump. Food was delicious, we had apps of escargot and scallops which were great. Dad of course had the sugar steak and was very impressed, dessert was delicious. If you get a chance to go to this Colorado staple, do it! Price per person: $50–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
I was just at a gallery opening only a few blocks away. When I mentioned I was going to grab dinner, Bastien’s was recommended. Well it’s 5:10 on a Friday so, despite not having reservations, thought I would try my luck. Greeted at the door and I spotted a bar area. I am loathe to take up a table just for one, especially on a Friday night, so offered to sit at the bar. The bar was pretty busy. The employee at the host station didn’t seem to give a shit if I stayed or went, so I went. I figure if the front of the house is so indifferent, the wait staff wouldn’t be any better. Went home to grab the car and head out to Eddie Merlot’s. (A favorite and always excellent service.
