What User doesn't like about Hannah's Off The Square:
We visited this restaurant for my husband's birthday, and unfortunately, it was quite pricey. The food portions were small, and my husband was still hungry after our meal. There wasn’t enough... View all feedback.
This place is tucked back from the square and un-presumptuous from the exterior; yet it’s gorgeous once you step inside. We made reservations and were quickly led to our table and warmly greeted by our server. She offered us our menus and told us to take our time. I had the lemon sorbet gin cocktail (can’t remember the name) and it was fun to taste the difference while the sorbet melted. We started with the Salt Block Steak Tartar and it was INCREDIBLE! The flavor combination was dreamy. My husband had their soup special of Lobster Bisque and he said that it was incredible. Very creamy. For entrees, I had the Tenderloin and it lived up to it’s name. The mashed potatoes actually impressed me (I’m generally not a fan), Brussel sprouts were good, and the green peppercorn sauce was one of my favorite sauces I’ve ever had. My husband had the Chicken Saltimbocca, per our waitress’ advice, and was floored. He assumed he wouldn’t want to try chicken at a nice restaurant but he was wrong. To finish we had the Flourless Chocolate Cake and it is now one of my favorite desserts that I’ve ever tried. I had a decaf coffee and my husband had one of their fancy Baileys coffee drinks.. both were really good as well. Overall I would recommend dining here. It has a really romantic atmosphere where nothing feels rushed. I should also add that we waited an appropriate amount of time for all of our food; not too fast and certainly not for 45 minutes as some reviews have stated. This was a Saturday night.
Took our office staff to Hannah’s for our Christmas Dinner Party. It’s been awhile since I’ve been there but they never disappoint! Great food and atmosphere for fine dining away from the big city. The staff loved it and took time to walk the square all lit up for Christmas after dinner. What a great night!
Very nice place. good wait staff. dont go there in a hurry, chill and relax. we like sweet tea and our waiter was gracious enough to bring us simple syrup to sweeten it since they only serve unsweetened.
We were brought here while in Texas on a job interview to introduce us to some of the local fare. The food, ambiance, and service were all impeccable, and portion size was larger than comparable restaurants. If this is a representation of Texas, it might just be worth relocating for.
This place has the most amazing food. My husband took me here the night of our engagement. Absolutely beautiful and relaxing atmosphere. Very special place to us
