Cartwright's Ranch House - Denton

So I went here on Friday and got the Migas and it was horrible very tasteless and only tasted like peppers the whole meal was horrible have no idea what the chef was doing maybe doesn’t know how to season food good but won’t be coming back to this place ever again

They have the best chicken tenders (huge portion )and cat fish was very good ,definitely would go back ....

I 've been here many times. I enjoy the food, and most of the staff members are friendly and attentive. But when I heard the cook say Un taco por joto accompanied by laughing and once again Un taco por jotocito (accompanied by more laughing to another worker) about a PATRON, it left a REALLY bad taste in my mouth. All my years being in, and visiting, Denton- a city supposedly queer-friendly, you 'd think that this city, and it 's citizens, would be past using slang terms and bullying those just for being themselves. ESPECIALLY coming from someone who works at a supposedly queer-friendly establishment. It 's disgusting behavior and I will no longer patronize this establishment as long as their employees continue to verbally abuse its patrons. That man did not deserve that kind of treatment. He didn 't say or do anything to provoke this behavior, or even said a word afterwards either. This cook is a bully and should be ashamed of himself for his disgusting behavior.

We decided to try something new for dinner last night and ordered off DoorDash. Food came quickly and was warm when delivered. Large portion of fried pickles, but they were so salty we couldn’t eat them. My chicken fried steak was tough and did not have good flavor. I was disappointed that my mashed potatoes were instant and lacking flavor as well. I gave 2 stars because my husband did like the catfish.

First time to dine at this restaurant googled local restaurants and this is the one we picked! Food was good and the amount wasn't overwhelming! Just the right sized portions). They have a great variety of food to choose from. Glad we stopped in!
