The fried chicken is outstanding, and the green beans and black-eyed peas are a must—just skip the rice. It's only available for takeout. During the pandemic, it was interesting to see everyone wearing masks, which is unusual for South Carolina. The staff were very friendly as well.

The owner personally assisted us when we arrived, as we were traveling and in search of some fried chicken. It was juicy and delicious. The menu is limited, but it's one of those hidden gems where you can enjoy great soul food. There was a pleasant buzz in the restaurant while we were there. It's a very friendly place that I highly recommend to everyone.

I had a wonderful experience dining at Southern Soul. The service was outstanding, and the food was absolutely delightful. This is definitely a place we will always return to whenever we're in the area.

I enjoyed turkey wings, rice with gravy, and mac and cheese. The food was delicious, and the customer service was excellent.
