What khnorthwales doesn't like about Yew Tree:
Recently had Sunday Lunch here. Tables too close together. Trying to get too many in. Starters nice enough. Main help yourself carvery. Only Had Turkey which was moist as the other meats beef gammon looked very dry. Vegetables good choice and plenty of condiments. Signage outside would be helpful advising where restaurant was instead of looking at passing golfers questionably View all feedback.
If you want good value food and great service don't miss this place, Julia and the team are the stars of the show, the fish and chips on a Friday and Sunday lunch are both fantastic. You won't be disappointed eating here. Fully booked already for Xmas day, the clubhouse is really welcoming so if you are not a golfer or member don't worry you won't be the only ones visiting just for the food. A 5* place by every measure in the book, get your table booked!
We visit this restaurant once a month with my grandmother who lives in Prestatyn. The food is excellent value for money, with delicious roast potatoes that are particularly outstanding. There is a good selection of vegetables to accompany the fresh and tender meat. The service is friendly as well. I highly recommend this place.
Our first visit was for Sunday lunch, and we were informed that my wife, who has an allergy to rapeseed oil, would not be able to have the roast potatoes. However, the chef prepared a special dish of roast potatoes and a rapeseed-free Yorkshire pudding for her. The meal was fantastic, with excellent food and meat quality, and top-notch service. The pricing was very reasonable, with two courses costing under £10.00. The only minor criticism would be that the starters seemed a bit dated in their offerings, but they were still acceptable. Although some may be deterred by the fact that the Yew Tree Restaurant is part of the Golf Club, it is open to the public and does not require membership. We have since dined at the restaurant multiple times for dinner and more Sunday lunches, all of which have been as good as our first experience. The restaurant caters to the Golf Club, so any drinks must be purchased through the Golf Club. Overall, a visit to the Yew Tree Restaurant is well worth it. Don't let the association with Rhuddlan Golf Club deter you, as they are welcoming to all.
We recently visited the Yew Tree for the first time and were thoroughly impressed. The Sunday Carvery, served from 12 to 4pm, was absolutely delicious and we couldn't find any faults with it. The restaurant is located within a beautiful Golf Club with stunning views. The staff were all friendly and accommodating. At just £7.95, the value for the meal was fantastic. We highly recommend this place and are already looking forward to trying their 'pie' day or 'chippy lunch', both of which sound equally appetizing. Well done, Yew Tree!
Great food since Julia took ove this year, have tried both the Sunday Carvery and the Friday nights Fish and Chips plus the homemade cakes are to die for. Good value food and service with a smile what more do you need
