During our stay at the nearby caravan park, we dined at this restaurant. The food was fantastic and the staff were very friendly. Despite arriving late, they were extremely accommodating. We happened to visit on a night when there was a free wine and cheese tasting event, and even the unruly behavior of a group of Liverpudlians couldn't dampen our experience. I highly recommend this restaurant. View all feedback.

I went to this restaurant for lunch on Boxing Day with my family, and I was appalled. I have never experienced such low-quality food being served to us. The vegetables were overcooked, and the meat was terrible, tasting like leftover Christmas lunch from the day before. We expressed our dissatisfaction, and they offered to remove one meal from the bill. This was inadequate, considering there were seven of us and none of us could stomach the shocking food.
Went for an evening meal with my husband, sister and brother in law. We all had meals from the 2 for £15 menu. Everything came piping hot and tasted great. The men had the meat and potato pie which came as a generous slice from a large pie. My sister had the Cumberland sausage and I had the fish. All were good portions and my brother in law had to finish our meals for us! Will definitely be returning.
We stayed here one night, it is a very old place with ornate walls and old fire places, the staff were very friendly and helpful, it had a good feeling. The breakfast was plentiful. Plenty of parking, our room was large with a decent size bathroom, there are lots of good walks around the area.
