Great cafe on a local scenic route. The food is good and competitively priced, there is also a small gift shop for little souvenirs but this was closed on my last visit. Car park full of motorbike and car enthusiasts, if your in to these...then you've probably already heard about this place. Well worth the drive up. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Ponderosa Cafe:
The coffee was awful, the café was dirty, and there were plenty of staff members who could clean the tables. I will not be returning. It could have been a lovely place, but it seems they are not bothered, which is a shame. View all feedback.
Just seen a review titled Truly Awful and am a little confused that this persons review is about the same place that my wife and I visited a few weeks ago. No more to said about our experience, Just a very special place to...visit again and again etc etc etc Big Thanks B and B Babell
Ok I had read reviews before I went, and thought I knew what to expect. I was wrong. First was when pulling, easily, off the road to find a well laid out, tarmac car park. Plenty of space, but we were there 3.00 on a...Saturday in November. Then we just sat in the car and looked at the view. Followed by getting out to wander around about with cameras. Going in, it was not unlike many cafes on the road side. yet everything was clean, in a good state of repair, functional. Used, but looked after. I was impressed with the standard it was being maintained at. Ok my coffee came from a press button machine on the way to the till. (Like in Morrison's). I found an out of date cheese and pickle sandwich, which totally crumbled and fell apart in the box. Nevertheless edible and quite tasty. Everything for just over £3. I shall be back.
A not well rated pit stop. great location, great view and a visit worth. happy crew, but economical facilities.
Drive pasture pleased that the place was open to say about 3.10 clock parked signs clearly declared open 10 -4 when we went to the counter asked to say about hot food. we are closed, but their signs say 4pm 'yeah but we close to...3 ' if their search for hot food give this a miss there is no warm, Welsh welcome here.
We were on a run out and arrived here at lunch time. Plenty of room in the car park. staff friendly and food better than expected from a cafe and reasonable price. Will definitely return
