I enjoyed staying here for a week. No wonder, I love it. I would rather stay in this cozy place than the top hotel in london. their houseburgers are something on their own, for which I would return. then finally the location, not a shopping stay, it is a land stay, I will add a few photos of the precious stones my daughter and I found in the opposite. What Fizzie66 doesn't like about Leyland Arms:
Very disappointing! My husband ordered the Cod dish off the Valentines menu, the piece of cod loin was about 2” a very small portion. The chicken supreme with white sauce was terrible I couldn’t eat it. The sauce was paprika and the chicken coated in a Cajun seasoning! Definitely not a chicken supreme! They did not charge for this! Would not recommend this place! View all feedback.
We had a fantastic Sunday lunch. We were a party of 10 celebrating a Diamond Wedding and nothing was too much trouble. We had a 3 course lunch and everyone’s dishes came out at the same time. The food was delicious, especially the king prawns. And what a dessert menu!! We asked for a few modifications to our dishes which caused no problems. Drinks were flowing. All the staff were really lovely and helped towards an amazing celebration. I would definitely recommend The Leyland for amazing food and ambience (and loos!
You walk into what appears to be a small bar area that opens up into large Restaurant. The staff were super friendly and informative as we are visitors to the area. The food was home cooked, delicious and presented beautifully. This place was a real find and if you happen to be in the area well worth a visit. There was a children good children’s menu too!
Stopped by on spec as decided to go home via the back roads. Fantastic decision! Lovely log burner that kept us warm, and a fabulous Sunday lunch. My wife had a veggie wellington and I had the belly pork. Couldn’t fault it and will be back! Diolch yn fawt
We booked for a table of six saturday lunchtime. Leyland Arms is a beautiful old pub, full of charm, in a rural setting. Lovely warm welcome from Jan Roy. Food was great enjoyed by us all. Lovely waitress who looked after us very well. Really looking forward to another visit sometime soon!
