Drove past this chippy hundreds of times and never noticed it. Was stuck behind a bus outside so decided to pop in for some food. Large sausage large chip we're cooked to perfection and the quantity was perfect. Very friendly owner and a spotless shop. A real hidden gem!! View all feedback.
What 14foodtester doesn't like about Darbey's Chippy:
The kebab meat seemed to be frozen, the fish appeared to be two weeks old and was greasy, causing the juices to drip everywhere. I found the chicken nuggets so unappetizing that I jokingly sent them to army intelligence as a potential new material for kevlar. View all feedback.
Walk in to the Woman on her Phone, then she forgets to take my money as she ignores me stood there with the cash in my hand...then got home (5 mins walk) the food didn't seem warm enough just bearable....really disappointed as used to love it there.
Terrible Chippy...fish was greasy, chips were reheated again in the fryer, cheap oil...avoid!
Nice chippy, it closes about 8pm, but most chip shops in riyl close at early times .
This is the best chip shop I was able to find so far. Keep the good work up guys. My rating would be 10/10.
Awesome fish and chips!!! We went on the right day as well.... Fish chips and peas £4!!! Absolute bargain of a deal!!
