On the way to an island in the north of the Netherlands (Terschelling) we stopped at this lunchroom for some coffee and hot chocolate. It's a nice roadrestaurant on the dam (Afsluitdijk) that separates the north sea from the inner sweet water lake. From the inside you can look out the window over the water. Visited in 2019, eating in the middle of the Sea is like nothing else! Food is Satisfactory, but the scene makes it definitely worth a visit!
Vriendelijke bediening en lekker eten. De inrichting is mooi en gezellig. En tevens een prachtig overzicht van de afsluitdijk dmv film en foto's
Vooral de plek is top, tussen zoet en zout water aan het IJsselmeer. Veel geschiedenis over de bouw van de Afsluitdijk en heerlijke chocomelk met slagroom:
Het restaurant begint wat gedateerd te worden. Het is tijd voor een opfrisbeurt. De toiletten zijn verouderd. De foto's, film en kaarten geven een mooi beeld van de aanleg van de dijk.
Vis was niet te vreten €10 betaald voor 1 portie. Ik voel me geflashed en misselijk. Zonde van de prachtige locatie
