as with many restaurants in eritrean and Ethiopia is about half the menu vegan. the shiro was amazing, it was one of the best Eritrean meals I had. Note that it is a bit sharp when they are sensitive. the owners were also very friendly. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Oost-afrikaanse Eethuis Djebena Den Haag:
not so big restaurant with many African decorations. served meat but has 9 vegan dishes. they can have a mixed plate with different things. all foods were quite delicious, just down that it is all heated up in the microwave. service is friendly. not the most cozy place, but eating is quite okay. Delightful food, fantastic beer and liquor made by the owner's uncle and a totally wonderful owner! I'll definitely be back, the owner makes you feel really comfortable with a little chat. I only think the portions could be a little bit larger given the price but they're fine nonetheless. You could honestly only come for the beer, liquor and a chat, an absolute delight for this neighborhood!
Ive had a wonderfull evening at this restaurant. The food is delicious and the owner is a very friendly and warming person. I love to eat by hands. The beer is the own creation of his uncle. I bought a bottle of the homemade liquor, too. Hope to see you again Merseker Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The restaurant is authentic and the owners are really friendly. it has a history of more than 20 years alternating between suffering/hague/thelf. the injera served with tumor, shiiro and duba is amazing and a good option to recover from kater! the owner also created a special Ethiopian beer with teff flour, and they can have served mongozo beer on a cocose.
