I had asked my sweet and beautiful table companion in advance if she knew a nice restaurant in her hometown of Scheveningen where we could have lunch together. Fast forward and we are sitting outside Café Constant at a simple, but no less attractive table for two. We are in the shadow of the sun, which only really shines at the end of July, but which is also good. I can be short about the restaurant, I want to be short, because otherwise I will go completely crazy in a positive sense. Everything was good in Café Constant. For lunch we were unanimous and opted for a plate of pasta puttanesca, which originated in the red light district of Rome (Puttana means prostitute). It is not very complicated to make that pasta, but it is to prepare a good one, to ensure that the intense flavor is also soft. And this plate was better than good. If you add to that the pleasant service, the relaxed atmosphere and the nice quiet neighborhood, which reminded me a bit of Greenwich Village in New York, then yes, with the best will in the world I cannot discover anything that I need to mention because it was less.
