The owner is the head chef and she runs an excellent k... read more We have been regular customers at the Stanley Restaurant for a decade. Great food and very amiable staff. The owner is the head chef and she runs an excellent kitchen. The Pho is always excellent done in traditional style and a wide variety of choices....The grilled pork and chicken Brochette are outstanding!! It is an unpretentious little spot tucked in right beside the Delta Lion Pub. You will not be disappointed!!

I recently ga... read more I've long avoided this place because of it's outwardly unappealing appearance blaring lights, large screen T.V s and open cafeteria-style seating. I recently gave in however as this is almost the last local eating establishment I have not tried. The evening I was there only...a few diners were in the place but Take-Out was obviously hopping as there was a constant coming going from the kitchen. Maybe this says something to my comments about this not being the most appealing place to sit and eat? The menu is essentially point and shoot by the numbers. A picture of the item and a number. There is a large selection. Being a newbie to the Pho scene, I played it safe by selecting items I recognized in the pictures. Service was efficient, hardly cordial tho. Food came quickly and was a very pleasant surprise. Hot and fresh very flavourful and suddenly you don't notice the surroundings so much .. It made me want to suggest some interior decorating tips to Management because I think the food is good enough to make you want to sit and savour it and enjoy without feeling like you're in a Greyhound Bus Depot. . One of... read more Update from January 2023: After a change in ownership last year, we decided to give this long-standing Vietnamese restaurant in North Dakota another try. One of the owners was present and very friendly, while his partner Leslie, who runs a restaurant in Vancouver, was in the kitchen. Our server was pleasant, although there was some confusion with our order, likely due to our unfamiliarity with the menu. Most dishes were enjoyable, although the deep-fried rice paper spring roll had a greasy taste. Be sure to ask for the chili oil, which adds a nice kick to the soup and noodles. Previous bad experiences were likely due to day-shift employees, and I hope the new management has improved things. In January 2022, we visited with friends to see if the poor service had improved, but unfortunately, it had not. Food was okay, but the service was lacking, leading us to not plan a return visit. Despite this, it seems that local customers remain loyal. We ordered a take-out beef noodle bowl, which was hot but not as flavorful as our usual spot. The portion of beef was generous, and the dish came with the standard accompaniments. Although the owners are friendly, the servers have not always been attentive in the past. The restaurant is located in a strip mall with ample parking options.
