15-year customer. Food is always fresh, cooked to order, and full of flavor. So I've never been to an Asian country to be able to compare for authenticity, so if that's what you're looking for....I can't help you. If you are looking for Chinese fast food done well, in Lansing, this is your place. I love their egg rolls, sesame chix, lover's delight (I ask for it, not spicy), beef n broccoli, and this is the ONLY place I'll order crab Rangoon. The vegetables are always cooked perfectly, not soggy! If you're looking to save money, you could definitely share a meal between 2 ppl. I always have leftovers.
What SSGNUNU doesn't like about Chen's:
Upon entering the restaurant I noticed that the floor needed to be vacuumed really bad. The cashier was nice and friendly but the food is not good at all. I ordered crab rangoons which were only filled with cream cheese they were nasty I also ordered sesame chicken with shrimp fried rice everything was hot and mushy and I hate for my food to be like that so that was nasty the only thing that was ok was the egg rolls.... Food was amazing! I got the sezchuan chicken! If you don’t like spicy this is not for you! It was so delicious though, and the egg rolls! It was all delicious. Easily my favorite Chinese place in the area.
First Chinese food restaurant I got food from here. It was not great. The food tasted burnt or something. It had a really bad aftertaste. I got lo mein and egg drop soup. I ended up throwing away the soup cause it so bad. Finished the lo mein because I paid for the meal. They were nice though.
