My friends and I were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the restaurant on Thursday night expecting a casual evening. We were not expecting the amazing DJ who truly blew us away with his fantastic performance. With great mixes and high energy, he created a memorable experience for all 12 of us. Despite not knowing his name, we would love to see him perform again (he was a white DJ wearing a hat).

A tall Caucasian bouncer at the restaurant refused to let me in, even though I showed him my government-issued driver's license, because he didn't want a Chinese person in the restaurant on a night meant for white girls. I offered to show him a photo of my passport and my private social security information, but he still said no. The police got involved and allowed the restaurant next door to verify my ID with their international scanner. The police told the bouncer it was okay for me to enter, but he still wouldn't let me in because I am Chinese. It was a clear case of racism.
