I would give the market restaurant even 6 points!

After several good reviews we decided to enjoy Christmas dinner with the elders in the market restaurant. there was a Christmas menu which was tasteful in order... read more After several good reviews we decided to enjoy Christmas dinner with the elders in the market restaurant. there was a Christmas menu which was tasteful in order, but in no way stood in proportion to the salted parlors. especially the fish for 29 euro goes elsewhere maximum as appetizer. it was served in two layers 11 o'clock and 13 o'clock. which led all of them to order at the same time and we had to wait for dinner forever. in advance we had asked if there is something for our 7 years next to the menu. that wouldn't be a problem. the child carving was intended for a not hungry two-year-old. the dessert schokoeis with mon cherie ;-) for 12 euro we then saved ourselves like many other guests (despite hunger).price and performance have not been matched at all and we wonder about the quite numerous positive assessments. here, claim and reality do not fit together.

The family (12 pers). once again united. our gift was to let us eat together and let us pamper. but service and "the hospitable is king" does not know in this h... read more The family (12 pers). once again united. our gift was to let us eat together and let us pamper. but service and "the hospitable is king" does not know in this house! in the opposite, you were found as a disturbing factor. tastefully, eating was in best order, but waiting eternal and small portions stood on the order of day. because of the waiting times I asked about something brot, but I did not get this, nor was it referred again. drinks were always all and you were really ignored. if you wished a dessert or a coffee - after that we would not be asked. so well, in spite of eating, we have ordered the bill hungry. then the summit of cheerfulness took place. how wanted to pay separately as families and for this the staff was not able to implement them. you should have said it before, and we were supposed to be questioned in advance. Unfortunately, it was not so and so we had to put together our calculations individually. the flexibility that the waiter calculates the bill together with us on the table was absolutely impossible! our Christmas dinner will remain in memory, but unfortunately very negatiw! I myself have worked many years in the gastronomy and visit numerous restaurants about the year, but such bad service I have never experienced.

The food was of good quality and your hospitality outstanding. A great experience of fine german/french cuisine you doesn't expect in a small village like Delitzsch. One little hint...not to many flowerpower on the plate. Besides that....worth coming back to!
