I didn't have a reservation, but it was 8 pm and most of the tables, both outside and inside, were empty. We were only three people so we could fit in any table. Why we were not allowed to eat there? I understand the concept of reserving a table in advance to have a guaranteed spot, but why asking for a reservation if most tables are empty? It feels like this restaurant doesn't want to make money on purpose. We ended up going to another restaurant in the same square that didn't have any problem with us not having a reservation.
I passed by with my girlfriend and when we went inside we saw the staff staying and talking to each other. The place had only 7 tables and many tables free. We asked a table for 2 and they said sorry we are not enough people in this shift, you can go. I find these staff really not motivated for their work, very bad and sad service. I understand that is hard to find staff nowadays but I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone and this motivation about the staff said already enough about the organisation.
We were here twice now and both of them were really good. they are very good quality, and they will not need to push everything because they will be full before their time is up (I say this as a great eater). you can order 2 dishes per person every 10 minutes, which is a lot. I think I ordered five rounds and I was done within an hour and half. If they love tapas and / or Cuban food, this place is one. they also have really good cocktails.
Our drinks came half an hour after we finished eating only after we asked about them twice only to be told they were busy despite others receiving drinks who ordered later than us. We ended up paying for unlimited tapas even though we ordered less food than warranted/made worth the unlimited 'deal '. Many more places in the beestenmaarkt are absolutely amazing but this was a horrible experience for us
