Can't make it to a Seafood City Market in the L.A. area? No problem! Head on over to A J Seafood in Delano. It is a small market in Delano, but they carry all the Filipino groceries you need to make yummy Filipino meals If you like fresh fish, they got that too. What Ancient F doesn't like about A J Seafood:
Drove from Porterville to see if they carried Gemmae brand Ube pianono. They had mocha and mango but were out of ube. They carry a fair amount of Filipino items and their fresh fish looked good. I will agree with one of the other posters I read that the register staff are not very friendly except between themselves. Not a problem for me as they were efficient View all feedback.
Wide range of Philippines products. Nice to shop here.
My familiar snack stop? You have a wide range of products that I cannot get in the big chains grocery stores.
They have a great selection of fish when it comes in and Filipino products you can't find in other grocery stores. The aisles are very narrow and there is no public restroom. Many times the aisles are cluttered with boxes. The vegetable selection is very good.
This place has an excellent selection of hard to find fresh ingredients, imported refrigerated items, frozen items, and of course regular pantry items that you'd be hard pressed to find anywhere else. There's a good selection of seafood that I haven't seen offerrd in other places. Although the main things offered are of Filipino origin, there are also items from other countries like Korea and Japan that I haven't really seen in other places.
ABSOLUTELY EXCELLENT QUALITY AND PRICE!!! BEST PLACE IN DELANO TO GET FRESH SEAFOOD!! I was able to get the ingredients i needed for my crab boil here. CAME OUT DELICIOUS!
