Stoney's High Pit Bbq - DeLand

The meat was super delish and our server Jessica M. was super attentive and friendly. I used to visit Sonny's when I lived here thirty years ago so was excited to come back. Their garlic bread tastes just like I remember. I was happy to be able to pick up some of their BBQ sauce for $4.25 a bottle too. Perfect for Christmas gifts! Food has always been good at this location. I ordered the Sliced Pork Dinner with Garlic Toast (extra slice) and a double order of extra, extra crispy fries…. Came out just as I ordered. Meat was a little thick but still tender and juicy. I usually make a sandwich with it anyway.

The food was great, staff were polite, knew the menu 11 people family reunion. Called a week ago to let them know we were coming. Everyone enjoyed their meals prepared perfectly. We felt relaxed unrushed. A good time was had by all.

Always enjoyable and always consistent throughout the franchise. Good food and good service go a long way to customer satisfaction. The new layout and decorations are well done and not overstated.

Never in a million years as a BBQ lover did I think a Sonnys would be the place to be. Well hades hast frozen over because for years these guys have been the best you can get and meticulous about making it so. This is the best Sonny's I've ever been too in 42 years and is consistently amazing. GREAT staff GREAT owner you can't go wrong.
