Connie's Cafe - DeLand

This is my wife’s favorite restaurant! Tuna Melt offers a huge selection of food. I tried a soup for the first time called Red Velvet, and oh my goodness, it was delicious! The atmosphere is wonderful, and the staff are friendly and attentive. It’s conveniently located near the shopping areas in downtown DeLand, making it a great place to visit.

The service is excellent! The grilled gyro is served open-faced, and everything was delicious, including the coleslaw.

The food at this restaurant is outstanding and reasonably priced. I work in Downtown DeLand and typically visit once or twice a week. I particularly love the Turkey Reuben and the buffalo chicken pita—both are delicious! The fish sandwich is also fantastic. The service is counter-style, where you place your order and then pick it up at the window. It’s consistently quick and efficient.

It was a great spot for a quick meal. The staff were friendly. I ordered a roast beef club sandwich along with a side of their velvet soup. I have to say, it was unlike anything I’ve had before. The soup's broth was thicker than a chowder, and it was really tasty.

We've been visiting this café for about 10 years (since it was Cooks Cafe), and we’ve never had a bad meal! The service is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and we always look forward to stopping by to see Connie and her family. The Red Velvet soup is an absolute must-try, and my 5-year-old insists that Connie makes the best grilled cheese in all of DeLand!
