Captain D's - DeLand

I had a pretty good experience at Captain D's. I previously worked as a cook at a Captain D's in Georgia for 12 years, so I am very familiar with their menu. I had avoided eating there for a while because some of my fellow cooks had gotten sick, but I decided to give it another try at the Captain D's in Florida where I used to work. I would give it four stars, although I can't remember one side dish from my recent visit, which was probably the green beans. I would recommend Captain D's to anyone looking for a quick seafood option with healthy alternatives. The fried fish was delicious, and I always enjoyed the baked potatoes. I noticed that the Alaskan wildcat salmon tasted slightly different from what I remembered, but overall, it was still a good meal. I suggest giving it a try for yourself.

The food was delicious and freshly prepared. We enjoyed it so much that we forgot to take any pictures before devouring it all. LOL.

This restaurant was definitely one of the most enjoyable dining experiences I've had in the past four years. The menu was easy to navigate, the staff was friendly, and the food was delicious and served hot. The spicy fish dish was particularly outstanding. The sweet tea was also tasty. Although the lobsters seemed to be artificial, they were surprisingly better than many real lobsters I've had. Kudos to everyone involved in creating such a great dining experience. I only wish this place was closer to my home.

The food arrived warm, but customers are not able to request extra sauce or choose a specific sauce for the cheese sticks.

The meal was decent overall, although the fish was a bit tough and the okra was strangely mushy lol. However, it wasn't terrible.
