An authentic Vietnamese restaurant on the borders of México? Apparently. Tested Pho, summer rolls and Vietnamese coffee. Everybody checks for my book. I recommend this experience, but watch the prices, because I did not and I was little surprised that I missed the fish sauce with my roles and picky eggplants... except this excellent one. What Cody B doesn't like about Pho Rio:
We ordered the chicken, beef and shrimp. It had 2 shrimp and the whole dish tasted weird. Did not seem fresh. The beef pho soup was not good. The spring rolls were bad. One of my top locations for delicious Pho. visited near twelve, it was not full. the service was very kind and attentive.
The food is good, but the service can be inconsistent. I had one experience where, when I was checking out, the waitress mentioned the price and then added a tip to my card without asking for my consent.
We ordered the chicken, beef, and shrimp dish, which only had two shrimp, and the overall flavor was off—definitely didn't taste fresh. The beef pho soup was disappointing, and the spring rolls were not good either. I really wanted to like this place, but I'm confused by all the positive reviews. Overall, our experience was quite poor. We usually go to an authentic pho spot in Kyle, Texas called Pho Thiason, and that place is the real deal. The only redeeming quality of this restaurant is its catchy name. Honestly, Panda Express is much better.
The pho is excellent, and the service here is attentive. The food reminds me of a restaurant I loved in Louisville.
Delicious! The atmosphere was fantastic, and we had a wonderful dining experience. My family and I loved every entrée we ordered. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back!
